The following is my report from the Transmission 3 party hosted on Saturday 25.11.2006 at T-Mobile Arena in Prague, Czech republic. You will find links to pictures and videos at the end of the spot. The title of Saturday party was Transmission 3 - Universal energy and the organizing agency United Music did quite a terrific job bringing over performers who are playing different styles of trance. Pure trance fans were attracted by the presence of Markus Schulz and M.I.K.E., while the wider audience welcomed Blank & Jones and also German producer and so-called-DJ ATB. He was a slight underdog and I wasn't expecting much from him as I can tell he's a good producer but this was the first time I was going to see him playing live.
The previous Transmission parties hosted such names as Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Marco V, DJ San, DJ Quintin. Markus Schulz and M.I.K.E were the only returning DJ's: the former presented his qualities at Transmission 2, the latter was playing at the first show. Some of them have recorded problems with audio-technics and speakers, others were complaining that Transmission is just not having enough visual effects, screens, lasers etc. The organizing agency had announced that this time the visitors will see something special. So let's see if they managed to keep it real.

After that, we tried to look for the clothes room; so we went upstairs and spent 20 minutes in a line - just when we had our turn, the girl in clothes room told us to go somewhere else, that they're full. Geek! Went downstairs and spent another 20 minutes, hoping to master it better this time. Awful experience. So, because of this hassles, we didnt manage to come to the hall when DJ Ruby was spinning the tracks. OK, this is how I judge DJ's in detail:- DJ Ruby - From what I've heard, he got the crowd ready for the following DJs. Can't rate, though.
- Markus Schulz - Average! I was hoping that Markus will be the star of the party, but he wasn't! He was alternating between energic trance and melodic trance and always when he succeeded to heat up the crowd he then filed some slow song to calm them down. From what I remember the biggest hits of his set were Aalto - Five, Dogzilla - Without you (Dub mix), Marco V - Any Better Or and Markus Schulz feat. Departure - Without You Near. 6/10
- ATB - Frustration! It would be much cheaper to bring in a stereo player and push PLAY. André proved that he would better stay with producing, because what he performed on stage cannot be in any way called mixing. I have the feeling that the only trick he does is stop the track, wait for the crowd to cheer A-T-B! and then continue playing. Some tracks he wasn't mixing at all. From what I've seen many ravers were just standing on the floor, waiting for this tragedy's end. After all, despite all there technical troubles, he archieved to pump up the party performing his own hits like ATB - Ecstasy, ATB - Let U Go (2005 Reworked), ATB - Believe In Me and also hit of the night Jealous Guys – Mr. Brightside (Club Mix) . As the encore he also presented his new single ATB - Justify. It didn't save the overall impression, though. 2/10
- Blank & Jones - Freaking cool! First time in Czech republic and heartly welcome to come back again! If it wasn't for them, I would say the Transmission 3 was a total disgrace. Fortunately, those guys presented one of the best sets in the history. After quite a calm beginning, they've accomplished to make the people party (at last)!
I liked the way they communicate with the audience and also the selection of tracks. It brought many of us into times when we started listening to trance; especially when playing Blank & Jones – DJs, Fans & Freaks (Cosmic Gate Remix) or Blank & Jones – Catch (Martin Roth Remix). The atmosphere in the place during they set was outstanding! When singing Blank & Jones feat. Elles De Graaf – Mind Of The Wonderful, it was one of the best moments this year. Other famous tracks have also been played: S.O. Project – Direct Dizko, Blank & Jones – After Love and as the addition Blank & Jones - The Nightfly! Brilliant! 9/10

M.I.K.E. - Despite playing early in the morning he chose to play elektro-trance. While about half of the crowd was already on their way home, we've decided to stay a bit longer. M.I.K.E. was a nice surprise (as usually) and after somehow "boring" 20 minutes he woke up the people again. I can't name the song, but as soon as the playlist appers on the trance forums, I will add it here as well. For nice fresh music, M.I.K.E. gets 7/10
We left the party at about 5.30 am with feelings of universal energy in our hearts

- various trance styles, nice sets by B&J and Markus Schulz
- adequate volume, usually i can't hear for next 2 weeks, now its ok
- nice visual effects by Visual Impossible when the DJ's were switching
- no queue at the entrance
- free ice cream for lucky ones
Cons
- main star ATB dissapointed
- too few lasers, lights, definitely not best effects ever as promised by UM
- low basses early at the evening
- too many commercials on screen
- overpriced drinks (30 CZK for 0,25 l bottled water)
